2011 Summer Teaching a Lab to Swim

You'd think swimming comes natural for a Lab, and for most it probably does. But for Harlow, she came to us skirting puddles and timid of water in any form, save her drinking bowl. Since our job is to teach her to be comfortable in any environment (and it's just morally wrong for a Lab to be afraid of the water) we made it a quick priority to help her overcome that. In truth, nature would probably have taken over at some point, but as Dad helped Harlow overcome the fear of walking in puddles, Jacob took on the job of teaching her to swim....

...and I'm happy to report she's now a lean mean aquatic machine.
